Fancy vivid yellow, emerald cut, white diamond surround
Yellow is the most difficult colour to hold at vivid saturation across a suite. Colour reads differently at 4 carats than at 14, so a set matched on paper falls apart on the neck.
Solaire is matched by face-up appearance under three light temperatures — daylight, candle, and salon tungsten — not by grading report alone. Nine of the necklace's eleven yellows were re-cut in our atelier by an average of 0.31 carats to lift saturation by one grade step.
Every yellow sits in a yellow gold basket; every white sits in platinum. The eye is never asked to correct for the metal.
