A riviere that graduates from 0.9 to 11.04 carats
A riviere is the hardest object in high jewellery to build honestly. Every stone is visible from both sides, so a single mismatch in colour or crown height reads instantly across the whole line.
Aurora was matched from a run of 618 stones. Forty-one survived the table. The graduation is calculated, not eyeballed: each stone steps up by a fixed 4.2 per cent in diameter toward the centre, which is why the necklace reads as one continuous curve of light rather than a row of separate diamonds.
The earrings and the ring are cut from the same growth cycle as the centre stone, so the suite ages as a single object.
